How to build a content factory with Claude Code, Hook Studio, and Post Bridge

Three connections and one terminal window: Claude works out the ideas with you, Hook Studio makes the reels, and Post Bridge posts them. This is the setup behind the @tellreddy reels.

A Claude Code session in a terminal that saves a reel idea to the Hook Studio idea board
Level: 5 of 5 (advanced)

It is the most advanced setup in our guides, and it is easier than it sounds. You never write code. You type sentences, and when a step needs a command, you paste it or ask Claude to run it.

This is a setup for long creative sessions: one chat window, hours of work on ideas, and nothing to copy between apps, so you get into a creative flow state and stay there. You and Claude hash out each idea: the angle, the cast, the line on screen, and what will look real. Hook Studio keeps every idea on a board and makes each reel with its realism checks, and Post Bridge posts them. Each one connects to Claude Code with one command, and two free programs, ffmpeg and yt-dlp, cut video and pull references on your computer.

It is the setup that makes the reels for @tellreddy, the Instagram account of Reddy, an AI assistant for real estate agents. The examples below come from its idea board as of October 29, 2026: each card with the reference reel and what was decided for it. For what the reels did once they were posted, read how Reddy runs its content machine.

The short version
  1. 1Install Claude Code, and start it in a new folder.
  2. 2Connect Hook Studio: one command, then sign in.
  3. 3Optional: ask Claude to install ffmpeg and yt-dlp.
  4. 4Connect Post Bridge: one command, then sign in.
  5. 5Then loop: hash out ideas with Claude, keep them on the board, make each reel, post it.

Step 1: Set up Claude Code, your new chat window

Claude Code is Claude in a terminal, the text window that developers use. It looks hard, but it is a chat window that can also run programs on your computer. That is what makes the factory work: in one answer, Claude can download a reference, cut a clip, and call three services.

You need a Claude Pro plan or higher, because the free plan does not include Claude Code. Open the Terminal app on a Mac, or PowerShell on Windows, paste the line for your computer, and press Enter:

Mac or Linux
curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bash
Windows (PowerShell)
irm https://claude.ai/install.ps1 | iex

Close the window and open a new one. Then make a folder for the factory, go into it, and start Claude. The first time, it opens your browser to sign in.

Start a session
mkdir content-factory
cd content-factory
claude
  • The folder is the workshop. Claude reads and writes files in the folder where you start it, so references, drafts, and renders stay in one place.
  • It asks before it acts. Before Claude runs a command or calls a tool, it asks you. Say yes, or say no and tell it what to do instead.
  • Three commands are enough. claude starts a session, /mcp shows your connections, and claude --continue picks up your last session.

Step 2: Connect Hook Studio for images, video, and the idea board

Hook Studio is an MCP server: a service that gives Claude new tools. Paste this in your terminal, outside Claude:

Connect Hook Studio
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user \
  hook-studio https://api.hookstudio.ai/mcp

Start Claude, type /mcp, pick hook-studio, and sign in to Hook Studio in the browser. There is no API key to copy. Claude now has the studio's tools and rules: it casts people, makes stills, checks them for realism, makes clips, and renders the reel. Every session also shows in the Hook Studio app. The steps for other agents are on the MCP page.

Your own Claude does the talking, so the chat costs no Hook Studio credits. You pay only for media: a still is 11 credits, a 4-second clip is 77, and importing a reel from a link is 5. Saving ideas to the board and reading the board are free. A clip waits for your OK on its price before it runs.

Connect Hook Studio to Claude Code and make your first still in the same session.

Make your first reel

Optional: ffmpeg and yt-dlp, for faster renders and references

These two free programs run on your computer, so they cost no credits and take seconds. You do not need to learn them. Ask Claude, and it picks the installer for your computer:

Ask Claude
install ffmpeg and yt-dlp for me
  • yt-dlp downloads a reference. Paste the link of a reel you want to copy, and Claude saves the video in the folder. When a site blocks the download, Hook Studio's import does the same for 5 credits.
  • ffmpeg lets Claude watch it. Claude cuts the reference into frames and reads the timing: where each cut lands, how long the hook holds, where the text sits. The copy then matches the format to the second.
  • ffmpeg cuts and joins on your computer. A trim, a loop, a speed change, or a quick preview takes seconds, with no render to wait for. Idea #10 on the Reddy board was trimmed to 8.2 seconds and rendered on the computer. The plan for idea #34 is one paid clip of a realtor who storms out of an office, looped on the computer with a new line each time.

Step 3: Connect Post Bridge to post and schedule

Post Bridge posts and schedules to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, and Google Business from one place, and its MCP server gives Claude the same controls. Connect your social accounts in Post Bridge first, then paste this in your terminal:

Connect Post Bridge
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user \
  post-bridge https://www.post-bridge.com/api/mcp/mcp

Start Claude, type /mcp, pick post-bridge, and sign in. Its 16 tools schedule a post with its own caption for each platform, upload media from a link, list your accounts, show whether each post went through, and read views, likes, comments, and shares. The MCP is on the Marketer plan: $39 a month as of October 29, 2026, with a 7-day trial.

The handoff between the two is one link. Hook Studio gives Claude a download link for the finished reel that works for 15 minutes, and Post Bridge uploads from a link. Claude passes it from one to the other, so the file never goes through your computer.

The loop: hash out, board, make, post

With the three connected, a session has four steps. Most of the time goes into the first one.

1. Hash out the ideas with Claude

Bring the material in bulk: the reel links you saved this week, a list from your notes, a spreadsheet. Claude watches each reference, and then you two work each idea out: the hook, who is in it, where, and the one line on screen. Claude proposes angles and pushes back, and you steer. An idea goes on the board only when it is worked out. Three real examples from the Reddy board:

  • #38, "My ___ thinks 🫶 means heart". The reference said "my coworkers". Claude offered three targets, clients, the title company, or the broker, and picked the title company: a joke at clients reads badly to future clients, and the broker is the boss.
  • #35, "POV: your scariest costume". The reference puts each office fear on a paper sign. The steer was "maybe a mask and just put words on screen instead of paper sign", so the card changed: a Halloween mask, with the fear as on-screen text and no AI-drawn text in the image.
  • #9, "Time off, but you're a realtor". The steer was "no idle start, people will swipe within 1.5s". He walks from the first frame, jumps, and freezes over the water.
The finished card (idea #38)
#38 Marco: my ___ thinks 🫶 means heart

Marco types at his desk in a brokerage office, makes the 🫶 hands, slowly turns it into a squeeze, then goes back to typing with a straight face. One line on his chest: "My title company thinks 🫶 means heart, but it's really my hands around their neck." One 9 s clip, trimmed to 8.3 s.

2. Board: keep it in Hook Studio

A chat ends, but the board stays. Every card keeps the reference, what you decided and why, the caption, the tags, its status (idea, in progress, or made), and a link to each session that made it. The next session starts from the board instead of a recap. Everyone on your account sees the same board on the Ideas tab of the Hook Studio app.

3. Make each reel

Pick a card, and Claude starts a Hook Studio session from it. It makes the still and shows it to you, you steer it, and Claude shows what the realism check flags. It asks before it pays for each clip. Two real calls from the Reddy board:

  • #30, a POV from a cop's view, was dropped. Three stills failed: the wrong car layout, a stray hand, and a camera inside the car. An idea that cannot look real does not get made.
  • #41, a recast, was priced both ways. The source has its caption burned in above the head, so a recast keeps it, at 927 credits for 8 seconds. A new still and an 8-second clip come to about 164 credits, with no old caption.

4. Post: schedule with Post Bridge

When a reel is done, ask Claude to schedule it: "schedule #38 on Instagram and TikTok for tomorrow at 6 PM, with the card's caption". Claude takes the reel's link from Hook Studio, sends it to Post Bridge with a caption for each platform, and checks that each post went through.

Reels with a trending sound

Instagram and TikTok add their trending sounds only in their own apps. When a reel rides a trending sound, post it from the app and pick the sound there. Schedule the rest through Post Bridge.

A first session to copy

Start Claude in your folder, paste this, and fill in the brackets. Name the style first: Hook Studio makes reels in an organic style or a commercial style, and every angle should fit the one you pick.

First session
We are going for an ORGANIC style: realistic settings, POVs, and everyday situations. (Or COMMERCIAL: an ad, more produced.)
Here are the reels I saved this week: [links]
Watch each one. For each, tell me what makes it work, and give me 2 angles for [what you sell, and who it is for].
Push back on the weak ones. We keep only the ones we agree on, and you save them to my Hook Studio board with what we decided.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You type sentences. The setup is three commands that you paste, and Claude runs the rest, such as installing ffmpeg. The terminal is only the window where you type.

Which Claude plan do I need for Claude Code?

Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise, or a Claude Console account. The free Claude plan does not include Claude Code.

Can Claude post or spend credits without asking me?

Claude Code asks before it runs a command or calls a tool, and a Hook Studio clip waits for your OK on its price. Read each request before you say yes.

Does it work on Windows?

Yes. Install Claude Code from PowerShell, and Claude installs ffmpeg and yt-dlp for you.

Why use the terminal instead of the Claude app?

The Claude app connects to Hook Studio too. Claude Code adds your computer: it downloads references, cuts clips with ffmpeg, and keeps every file in one folder. In a long creative session, that saves the most time.
