AI fruit videos are short clips where an AI model makes fruit do something a real fruit cannot: turn to glass under a knife, or fall in love. Hook Studio is an AI reel maker that makes these clips for creators, from a chat, with the price shown before each step.

Two formats matter: glass fruit cutting and fruit dramas. This guide says what each one is, why it works, how it is made, and what it costs. The facts about the trends come from press reports and tutorials as of October 2026. The prices come from the Hook Studio catalog.

The short version

A glass fruit cutting clip is a still of a glass fruit (11 credits) plus a 5 second Kling 3 clip of the knife (96 credits): 107 credits, about $0.93 on the Concept plan. The clip is silent, so you add the cutting sound from the TikTok or Instagram library when you post. A fruit drama episode with three talking characters is about 462 credits, about $4.

AI glass fruit cutting: the ASMR format

AI glass fruit cutting is a close-up, slow-motion clip of a fruit that looks made of glass, sliced by a knife on a wooden board. It is satisfying to watch and it needs no story, no face, and no voice. That is why it spread.

  • What it is: one fruit (a strawberry, an apple, a banana), translucent like crystal, one knife, one cut. Usually 5 to 10 seconds, often made to loop.
  • How big it got: Kling's own blog reports that a single glass strawberry clip reached 26 million views by June 2025, citing Fast Company. Those are secondhand numbers, and we cannot check them.
  • Why it works: it is an ASMR trigger (crisp, slow, tidy) and it is easy to watch twice. A clip with no talking also works in any language.
  • How it is made: the usual recipe is two steps. First an image of the glass fruit, then an image-to-video model animates the knife. Tutorials use Kling for the second step.

The sound is half of the format, and this is where most guides skip a step. The video models in Hook Studio return clips silent (or with speech only), so a glass fruit clip comes back with no cutting sound. You add the sound when you post, by picking a crisp cutting or glass sound from the TikTok or Instagram library. Nothing is generated for you.

Fruit dramas: telenovelas and reality shows

A fruit drama is a short series where fruit characters with faces act out a love triangle, a betrayal, or a reality-show twist, in the style of a telenovela. The best known example is "Fruit Love Island", which took off on TikTok in spring 2026.

  • What it is: episodes of 15 to 60 seconds. Characters like a strawberry, a melon, and a banana talk to the camera or to each other, and cliffhangers make people wait for the next one.
  • How big it got: press reports from April 2026 say one Fruit Love Island episode passed 39 million views in two weeks, and that the account behind it grew past 3 million followers. Those are the reports of that month. We could not find current numbers for October 2026.
  • Where it came from: sources disagree. Some outlets say fruit telenovelas have circulated in Latin America since 2022. Mainstream coverage points to a strawberry and eggplant affair video in late February 2026 as the breakout.
  • Why it works: everyone already knows the plot, so the fruit does the surprising part. Reporters also note that the AI glitches add to the joke. And a cliffhanger gives people a reason to follow the account.
  • The criticism: many call it AI slop, and some storylines in copycat series are ugly. If you make one, write your own plots and keep them clean.

A related, older format is fruit that eats other fruit, reported to have started in July 2025. It follows the same logic: a familiar object, one absurd action, no setup. For more formats like these, read our guide to viral AI video trends, or our posts on Italian brainrot and AI ASMR videos.

How to make AI fruit videos in Hook Studio

You make an AI fruit video the same way as any reel in Hook Studio: a still first, a clip only from a still you like. A glass fruit clip costs 107 credits. A three-shot fruit drama costs about 462. You see each price before anything runs.

Recipe 1: a glass fruit cutting clip

  • Ask for the still. Something like "a glass strawberry on a wooden board, macro, soft window light". A still costs 11 credits. If the glass looks wrong, say "more transparent" or "no leaves". The edit keeps the scene.
  • Make the clip from the still you like. Describe one motion: "a knife slowly slices the strawberry in half". A Kling 3 clip of 5 seconds at 1080p costs 96 credits.
  • Add text if you want it, or nothing. Many of these clips have no text at all.
  • Download the bundle and post. Pick a cutting sound from the TikTok or Instagram library when you post, because the clip is silent.

Total: 11 + 96 = 107 credits, about $0.93 on the Concept plan. For a reel with two fruits cut one after the other, it is 214 credits plus a few credits to render. More about the model in our Kling AI page.

Recipe 2: a fruit drama episode

  • Make the cast. One still per character, 11 credits each. Describe them as fruit with faces: "a strawberry with big eyes and long lashes, kitchen counter, soap-opera lighting".
  • Write each line short. A talking clip uses its own voice, in one step, and stays at 8 seconds or less because the voice drifts out of sync after that. A 5 second talking clip costs 143 credits. A longer line is split across two shots.
  • Build the episode as shots: the strawberry accuses, the banana answers, the melon walks in. Each shot has its own still, clip, and text.
  • Render. The agent joins the shots and puts the text on top for a few credits of render time.

Three characters with one 5 second line each: 3 stills (33) + 3 talking clips (429) = 462 credits, about $4 on the Concept plan. If a scene is only a reaction, use a text shot over a still instead of a clip and it costs almost nothing. Hook Studio has no voice cloning: the voices come from the model, so the characters sound like what you describe, not like a specific person.

VideoWhat you pay
Glass fruit, one 5 s clip11 + 96 = 107 credits (about $0.93)
Glass fruit, two fruits214 credits plus render
Fruit drama, 3 characters, 5 s line each33 + 429 = 462 credits (about $4)
Fruit drama, 2 talking shots and 1 text shot33 + 286 = 319 credits (about $2.78)

Prices leave out the automatic realism checks, a few credits each. New accounts pay $3 for their first 500 credits, enough for four glass fruit clips.

What Hook Studio does not do here

  • No sound in the clip. The cutting sound, the music, and the sound effects are added when you post. Voices in a drama come from the clip itself.
  • No voice cloning. You cannot make a fruit sound like a particular person.
  • No direct posting yet. You download the bundle and post in TikTok or Instagram. Direct posting is on the roadmap.
  • No promise of views. A format that went viral for someone else is not a guarantee for you. Many accounts make the same clip, so the idea, the look, and the first second decide a lot.
  • Not affiliated. Hook Studio is not affiliated with Kling (Kuaishou's model), TikTok, Instagram, or Meta.

Labels and good sense

Every Hook Studio download comes with a reminder to turn on the AI label, and TikTok and Instagram ask you to label realistic AI-generated content. Glass fruit can look real enough in a close-up, so turn on the platform's AI label when you post and check the platform's current rules. We could not verify the exact wording of each platform's policy for October 2026, so we do not quote it here.

Frequently asked questions about AI fruit videos

How do people make AI fruit videos?

Most people make an image of the fruit first and then animate it with an AI video model. For glass fruit cutting, that means one still of a glass fruit and one 5 second clip of a knife cutting it. For a fruit drama, it means a still for each character, a talking clip for each line, and a final edit with text. In Hook Studio the glass fruit clip costs 107 credits and a three-shot drama about 462.

What AI makes the glass fruit cutting videos?

Tutorials usually use an image generator for the glass fruit and Kling to animate the knife. Hook Studio uses its still model for the image and Kling 3 for the clip by default, and you can pick another video model under the message box. The clip comes back silent, so you add the cutting sound from the TikTok or Instagram library when you post.

Why are AI fruit videos so popular?

They give people something easy to watch with no language, no face, and no setup. Glass fruit cutting works as ASMR and loops well. Fruit dramas borrow a plot everyone knows from telenovelas and reality shows, and the AI glitches add to the joke. Reports from April 2026 put one Fruit Love Island episode at 39 million views.

Do I have to label AI fruit videos?

Turn on the AI label when you post them. TikTok and Instagram ask you to label realistic AI-generated content, and glass fruit can look realistic in a close-up. Every Hook Studio download also comes with a reminder to turn it on. Check each platform's current rules before you post, because they change.
