AI influencers for reels
Hook Studio is an AI reel maker that gives brands and creators their own AI influencer: one person with the same face in every shot, starring in your Instagram and TikTok reels. Describe them, pick a face from the premade cast, or use your own photos. They can talk, and the agent builds the reel around them with text, your product's screens, and an end card. A 5-second talking hook costs 154 credits, about $1.34 on the Concept plan.
An AI influencer is a person made with AI who appears in social posts the way a creator would, with the same face and style every time, but who was never filmed.
AI influencers on Instagram and TikTok come in two kinds. Some run their own accounts as a virtual personality. Others are the face of a brand: the person who holds the serum, answers the phone, or talks to the camera from a car in that brand's reels. Hook Studio is built for the second kind.
In Hook Studio, your AI influencer is a saved avatar. You get the face in one of three ways, and from then on it shows up in every reel you make.
Save the face as an avatar once, and Hook Studio uses it as the reference for every still. Every clip starts from a still you approved, so the same face carries into the video.
That order is the whole trick. A still costs 11 credits and a clip costs 77 or more, so you fix the face, the outfit, and the scene on the still before you pay for video. When something is off, say it in a few words, like "no makeup in the kitchen shot" or "put her in the car", and the agent edits that same still. The edit keeps the person and the scene and changes only what you asked.
A saved avatar stays in your account for every later session, so next week's reel has the same person as today's. It also works in a recast: Hook Studio swaps the people in a 4 to 15 second video you have the right to use for your influencer, and keeps the motion and the camera. A 5-second recast costs 579 credits.
One rule: Hook Studio never copies a celebrity. Ask for someone who looks like a famous actor and the agent writes an original description instead: hair, eyes, age, style.
Yes. The simple way is a Kling 3 clip that says your line in its own voice, in one step. The other is a voice line plus a lip-sync pass that makes your influencer say it.
Kling 3 is Kuaishou's video model and the default in Hook Studio. Its own voice drifts out of sync after about 8 seconds, so each talking clip stays at 8 seconds or less. A longer line is split across two shots. A voice line on its own also works as narration over the rest of the reel, for 5 credits.
There is no voice cloning. Your influencer speaks in the clip's own voice or in the stock voice of a voice line. You can't upload a recording to clone a voice.
| Way to talk | How it works | 5 s hook, credits |
|---|---|---|
| Clip in its own voice | One step: the clip says your line. 8 s or less per line. | 154 (still + clip) |
| Voice line + lip sync | A silent clip, a voice line of up to 500 characters, then a lip-sync pass. | 183 (still + clip + voice line + lip sync) |
The influencer carries the first seconds, where people decide whether to keep watching. The rest of the reel is on-screen text, your product's real screens, and an end card, rendered for a few credits.
AI video is for the hook: usually 4 to 6 seconds, or up to 8 when your influencer talks. The Dew Theory reel above opens on a bathroom selfie, day 1 with a serum, and one line of text. Paying for AI video only in the hook keeps the reel cheap, and the parts that sell, your screens and your offer, never look like AI.
Save your brand once (name, offer, voice, call to action, accent color) and it goes into the text and the end card. Then pick a format, and the agent builds it around your influencer:
Describe a person, pick one from the premade cast, or upload a few photos of yourself. If a photo shows someone else, Hook Studio asks once whether they agreed.
Steer the first still in short lines until the face is right, then save it as an avatar. Saving is free, and the avatar is there in every new session.
For example: "She talks to the camera in her car: day 3, and my skin finally calmed down." Write in English or Spanish. The agent plans the shots and shows you the plan before anything runs.
Clips wait for your OK, with the price on screen. A clip that fails gives its credits back.
The agent adds the text, your product's screens, and the end card. You download a bundle with the reel, a cover, and a caption with hashtags and a posting checklist, and you post it yourself in TikTok or Instagram.
You pay in credits for each piece, and you see the price before any clip runs. The face costs one still. Most of the cost is the hook clip; the text, screens, and end card cost a few credits of render time. The prices below are on Kling 3 at 1080p, the default model, and leave out the realism checks (a few credits each) and any redos. On Concept, $20 for 2,300 credits a month, that is about 14 five-second talking hooks before redos. Your first $5 costs $3 and buys 500 credits: enough to make a face and try two or three talking hooks.
| What you make | Credits | About, on Concept |
|---|---|---|
| The face: one still from a description (saving it is free) | 11 | $0.10 |
| A silent 5 s hook: still + clip | 107 | $0.93 |
| A 5 s talking hook in the clip's own voice | 154 | $1.34 |
| An 8 s talking hook in the clip's own voice | 240 | $2.09 |
| A 5 s hook with a voice line + lip sync | 183 | $1.59 |
| Text, product screens, and end card | A few | A few cents |
